thank you very much for the fast answer. I tried the following:
1.) Switch off laptop
2.) Take out battery, energy only by power cable
3.) Switch on
4.) Deinstall the mentioned battery driver (Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery)
5.) Switch off
6.) Disconnect power cable for a few seconds
7.) Reconnect power cable
8.) Switch on (Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery seems to be automatically reinstalled)
9.) Put in battery
10.) Disconnect cable
=> Laptop crashes, immediate black screen
Did I follow the right steps? What else might help?

P.S. Battery status is "no activity", 100% loaded, FRU code is 42T4791.
